If you're new to juggling, we're excited that you're staring with us and happy to be able to provide you with everything you'll need to get started the right way - the best way to maximize your potential. And the quickest way to develop a strong foundation of juggling skill.
To start, you need solid instructions. The Theory and Practice of Juggling and the workbook are the best instructional materials you can get on juggling and they will take you step by step from beginner to advanced. It's up to you how far you want to take it.
Now a word about balls. We have a variety of different kinds of balls. All of them are of the highest quality but they each have a different feel. If you're unsure which kind of ball to get, the safe bet is the MMX Plus ball. It's a good size and weight for juggling and has a beanbag-like quality which feels great in your hands while maintaining a spherical shape (Beanbags have a tendency to warp from the grip in your hand and turn into weird looking potato shaped objects in the air). The MMX Plus is extremely durable. Practice anywhere and don't worry about it falling apart on you like the less expensive beanbags.
The 67mm Sil-X Ball
This ball has a harder shell compared to the MMX Plus Ball yet is still quite soft, just less squish-able. The inside contains liquid silicon which gives the ball a unique stability when thrown that many have reported as feeling as if the balls just know how to come back to you. Of course there is still some skill required - we're not trying to pull a fushigi on you - but there's something magical about that liquid center. Please don't try to drink it.
Implosion Balls
These are the same as the Sil-X balls described above, only with a clear outer shell and colored liquid silicon inside. If you want to make your juggling practice more exciting, these are really fun and colorful balls. They look great outside in sunlight as well. But again, please don't drink the liquid silicon. Especially not the green ones.
Russian Balls
Be careful with Russian Balls! These feel completely different from other balls. People either love them or hate them. They resemble the pit balls that kids jump around in, only partially filled with sand. This gives them a unique feel, but like the Sil-X balls, that sand enables the ball to have a dead drop. So if you don't catch them, they're not going to roll away. They are also lighter than most juggling balls, so if you can adapt to them, you'll be able to juggle longer before muscle fatigue sets in. Please note that with the Plug & Play Russian balls, they arrive empty so you can choose what you want to fill them with. The Norwik balls claim to have the world's most perfect sand already inside - and these are made by a big muscle juggler (Kristian Wanvik from Norway) who's been juggling Russian style balls for years and after becoming discontent with the available options, decided to create the perfect Russian style ball for himself.
So to make this first juggling purchase as easy for you as possible, we've created starter bundles to encourage you to get everything you need to start this multi-beneficial activity.
